Bevan Cellars
Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
The Tench slightly better than the Sugarloaf. But, did show some light alcohol burn.

Apr 5th, 2024Anniversary time and lucky me - opened this at a restaurant with my wife of 29 years - how fun is that given the world right now
This is getting better from the first time two years ago / I almost went to 9.8 but I don’t do those scores often - crazy insane goodness in a bottle - bravo Russell - what can I say - opened decanted and 45 minutes this wine was spot on - refined and totally integrated tannins - structure is brilliant- like eating delicious dark chocolate almost with raspberries and blackberries fruit positioned perfectly inside the texture of this wine - could last 10 years and might get better but WHY wait
Amazing smiles

Jan 11th, 2019Monthly guys group wine meet-up. No theme tonight aside from “it better be good”.
Blueberry pie, bacon fat, milk chocolate on the nose. SMELLS plush and velvet like. Little tannic bite but still retains focus and structure. Some cinnamon and Mexican vanilla on the finish. Hedonistic Napa Cab. This is taking you straight to flavor town. Russell cranks these out with so much power. Some Napa Cabs are meant to age but these are the type that I want to enjoy shortly after release!

Always dependable and always a joyful experience with all of Russell’s cab wines for me but it was not WOTN - first sip and I thought man I wish would have opened on a separate night as I thought would be the WOTN - so little shocking and yet it was a 95 - this is a COP - 😂 - cellar owner problems - smiles galore

Fun to try this next to the Tench EE. More fruit upfront without a doubt. More feminine in style vs the Tench EE being more masculine. Red, blue and black fruit all over with Mexican vanilla, fig & chocolate.
