I've heard so many great things about this wine from the WNH/Delectable friends - and appropriately hyped by @David L and @Martin G Rivard - so I had to try it. It 100 percent lives up to the hype. If you like austere, mineral-driven, dry chardonnays then you should avoid this wine at all costs. This is a BIG Chardonnay - just like his reds - this commands your attention at first whiff - honestly the oak was what dominated the nose to me but there are tropical fruits and peaches. The oak is evident on the palate - buttered popcorn mostly - then after some time in glass the tropical fruit starts to come through. Great acidity. Creamy texture. This is a very age-worthy wine but is also good now with some time in glass or even a decant. This started in my glass too cold so I'd give it 30 mins at least out of the fridge or serve slightly below cellar temp. Outstanding Chard. Ranks in my top 5. 😊😊😊

This would be many a wine-drinker's jam. If their jam also included oak. I think if I liked a lot of oak I'd love it as it is full in body, pungent in acid (my true love I will confess) and the flavors that come from the oak (vanilla, almond) are on the money. Other than those things this guy is full o' papaya, mango, perhaps a white peach or so and also white musk. Plus some clarified butter no joke. It is a complex and compelling drink although I would not have minded less new oak. But cannot complain.

Complex, high alcohol, long finish. Sipping wine. Impressive. 93. Understand why Russel Bevan said it drinks like a Cabernet. Had in June 2020. Will open the next bottle in a year. L did not care for it, and gave only 89 points.

Very rich and delicious Chardonnay. Notes of baked apples, cream, vanilla, and a hint of spice.

Been disappointed with these in the past but we are back baby! Great color, intensity and power. Not a shy or crisp Chard. This is Bevan big.
