Outstanding. This single block bottling makes the normal RC seem pedestrian.

Wow @Paul T this one is full bodied. Dark candied cherries, and an overload of tar, pencil lead and black fruit. The label says Pinot but the jury is out on that.

Okay take two.Thank you @Paul T for getting this magical elixir to me! It is uniquely floral. They weren't kidding about orange blossoms on the nose. Also blackberries and a hint of vanilla and almonds. In the mouth the oak is quite obvious but well integrated all the same. It's smooth as can be, and the finish is mellow but lasting. It has all the characteristics of of a Pinot I adore but with a body of something different. It is different from the rest of the Rita's Bevan made!

Big, bold, beautiful wine in true Bevan fashion. A cab drinkers Pinot to be sure that had more than enough stuffing to hold up to a steak.

Moderately saturated ruby color. On the nose its very perfumed, reminiscent of rose petals, black cherry, and black tea with a sharp minty note and hints of forrest floor. On the palate, its voluptuous in style with impressive structure and length. Its sourced from grapes farmed on steep southwest facing slopes with a view of the Pacific Ocean and access to its cooling breezes. The Santa Rita Hills is one of the great New World appellations for Pinot Noir with other great vineyards like Sea Smoke, La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict, and Fiddlestix sitting below Rita's Crown. I love this appellation and Bevan's big style. RP $75.
