This isn’t a Grenache, it is a Grenache dominant blend. On the nose, faint wet stone and wild strawberry notes are the first thing I notice. After that, hints of fig, baking spices and tobacco are all pleasing nuances. On the palate, the wine is still jammy, fruit forward, succulent (2013 was a hot year). The Grenache is still the dominant flavor, with heaps of strawberry and white pepper notes. The Syrah and other varietals fill in the gaps though; this is not a one dimensional wine and hints of darker stone fruit, cured meat, and raspberry show up after the swallow. Yum!

This works really well with chocolate. And it's quite good too. But this is totally unlike what the wine rep. said to our waitress: made in concrete.... This clearly went through young oak... And clearly it is a bit annoying that all things gets so unclear, such as, where are the grape come from?

Pure & distinctive red fruits. Lighter bodied, soft tannins and a nice zip of acidity.
