Golden in color.

Light oak on the nose and medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing lemons, yellow apples, spices, light wood, herbs, earth and white pepper.

Long finish with limes and earth notes.

This is a very tasty Single Vineyard Chardonnay from Santa Lucia Highlands in California. Fruit forward and elegant. Complex, rich and interesting.

Feels young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking very nicely.

The high alcohol is well integrated already, so watch out. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (33% new) French oak barrels for 9 months. A small production of less than 3,400 bottles.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$55.

Pale color. Nose is vanilla, coconut, lemon peel, and flint. Lemon, oak, quince, and minerals with some buttery notes. High acid, high alcohol, medium plus body, and long finish. I’d prefer a bit less oak, but otherwise well balanced.

Citrus and oak on the nose. Tart citrus on the palate, lemon, grapefruit, star fruit, lime, and lemon grass along with oak and a gunpowder after nose. High alcohol and medium plus acid. A big, oaky chard.

Fresh cut pineapple and shredded coconut on the nose. On the palate American oak, pineapple, minerals, and lemon recedes to a high acid finish.

A beautiful wine, okay but balanced. The nose is tropical with notes of oak and butter. The palate is pure and rich with notes of spice, oak, butter, green apple and peach. An exceptional example of what SLH should be.

An incredible wine. Un-oaked and incredibly golden in color. Notes of citrus, orange, hay and an incredibly buttery mouth feel. Higher viscosity and alcohol content too.
