Delectable - this is the Mazis Chambertin from Dugat Py. Rich Ruby red. Vegetal whole bunch aromas with red fruits, dry extract and firm tannins. Powerful - will live for a very long time. Every year at these tastings we find the wines of Dugat Py to be on the larger full bodied style. Roscoe from PWS was not a fan of this wine saying it was over ripe, soupy with a touch of Brett. A bit hard to take for a wine costing $1700AUD. and a little harsh IMO. This is the first of 9 Grand Crus from Gevrey Chambertin.

Aromatics are a joy. Spice and earth and berry branch fruit. Tight though. It needs a bit to shed its shyness.
