Apr 12th, 2020On opening, definite smells of honey with notes of apricot. Also a sweet backdrop that I cannot place. A full nose. Tastes of light pineapple some citrus and zest plus green apple. Later in the drinking peach notes came through on the palate. A good balance with a dryer texture than I was expecting and quite full with a good length. Very enjoyable.

🇺🇸 Pinot Gris from California. I got mixed reviews about this varietal but the vintage seemed appreciated. Although it’s been rated dry, this medium body wine has a definite sweet edge with taste of peach 🍑 and citrus 🍊 for a smooth finish to the palate. I gonna serve it with Seasoned Pork Chops and Shanghai Bok Choy 🥬. 12 % ABV. That’s a good return for the ten bucks spent.
