A deep claret appearance. Nose somewhat closed however, black fruit, light vanilla and jammy notes. Conversely, the tastes were clear such as blackcurrant, blackcurrant jam, tropical fruits, mango, warm spice. Full well balanced, lush and big on the fruit. Very enjoyable. — 5 years ago

Slightly aged appearance and this was also the case on the nose and palate. Presumably down to previous storing. Smells of green pepper, blackberry, slight red chilli note and tastes of jam, ripe black cherry with white pepper on finish. Despite this apparent forced ageing, I enjoyed the wine. — 6 years ago

Aged in all respects, appearance, nose and taste. However, after some breathing a freshness came through. Blackberry, tropical fruit, a slight acidity, stewed black plum on the nose. Plum, warm spice, papua, banana, light citrus and prune on the palate. Aged, smooth, silk tannins and acidity. A subtle dryness on the palate. Delicious. — 6 years ago

Light straw appearance with a great freshness but not a complex or significant wine. Tangerine, pineapple and peach on the nose. Tastes of tangerine, lime plus white pepper and mango. Gravelly and a good acidic backbone. Enjoyable. — 6 years ago

Smells of blackberry, jam, hint of dark chocolate and cola and fruitcake. Tastes of black cherry, pepper and a light tar on finish. Good acidity and tannin with good grip. Enjoyable if a little underwhelming. — 6 years ago

Cherry, blackcurrant, tobacco and herbaceous notes on nose. Ripe red cherry, blackcurrant and on the finish black pepper and dried herbs. Typically acidic albeit with quite a bit of tannin, so a dryness on the finish. Rating also reflects reasonable price. — 6 years ago

Looking a little aged and quite light in appearance. Red cherry, berry jam, light fig on the nose. On opening quite acidic, redcurrant, and generally red fruits. Definitely a cooler climate cab sauv.
