Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. Bérêche’s “Brut Réserve” continues to be the benchmark for standard NV’s. This bottle pours a beautiful burnished gold color with a persistent, fine mousse. A mix of bright red raspberries, peach, lemons, light brioche and chalky minerals. Rich, yet zippy. Round, yet laser focused. Finish is long. Superb balanced. The kind of Champagne that spoils you. Disgorged 12/2020; 7g/L dosage.

Jan 21st, 2023Youthful intervention from Vincent and Raphael Bereche results in one of the best bottles of Champagne I’ve opened at home.
Distinct and zippy. Solera style perpetual blending (dating to my birth year - 1985) contributes color, depth, and richness.
There is fresh bread from lees aging, but this wine is driven by red fruit. Severely underpriced, I grabbed as much as I could.
