Viña Alarde Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo

Succulent cherry fruit, leather, pipe tobacco, all very well integrated, finishing with graceful tannins. A well endowed gran reserva.

Nicely aged, shows good balance between fruit and secondary flavors.

Raspberry, ripe cherry, grilled steak, wet leather, licorice, Brett. Bretty on palate. Great for cheap.

Great representation from Rioja, cla medley of cranberry and blackberry puree, moderately juicy, gentle on the nose and palate. Long and smooth finish. Medium plus tanning with a Solid mouthfeel. Nice final notes of toasty wood. The wine evolves after opening significantly. Please with vintage 2013.

2013. At $26 I’m pleasantly amazed at the quality of this wine. 9 years old and a really graceful blend of soft tannin, blue fruit and enough acidity to keep everything nicely harmonious. Bravo
