I was surprised to learn that Italians don’t drink #moscato as an aperitif (which I love) but rather always as dessert. This Bara is the best and the producing father and son are the nicest people too. #moscatodasti #asti #piemonte

Ripe apples and pears. Grapefruit. Saline. Smelled a bit sour.R/S. M+ acid and m body. Citrus, lemon and salt. Crisp green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Long finish. Balanced.

Smells like all of the great musky things about the dirt floor basement cellar of my childhood home. Tastes like peaches preserved in sweet Riesling. Nice medium effervescence. I would finish every meal with this.
