Massive, sexy fruit-forward Pinot Noir from Zio Tony vineyard in the heart of Laguna Ridge. Good vintages of this cuvée are on par with the Cohn in my opinion, and this might be my favorite one yet. On night 3 this really opened up and showed some brooding dark berries, cola and sandalwood, laced with earth and spice. Already quite layered and complex, but needs a year or two in Bottle to show more defined flavors. Big oak tannins are still prevalent. Outstanding effort from an unusually low yielding harvest, this wine has some serious future ahead of it.

Dark crushed berries, cola, dry tannins, and a sweet berry finish. New world.

Too young, but this is a real "wow" wine. Very rich, but with little weight or sappiness. Deep blue fruits with a solid supporting structure. Absolutely delicious now with a good decant, but guessing this will be killer in another couple of years. Outstanding.

Best of tasting so far. Some earth and grilled meat and dark fruit. Balance and some acid but still needs more acid and less jam. ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.trinor.com/WineEN/VintagesEN.html http://us.riojawine.com/en/14-vintages.html http://www.riojawine.com/Esc/bodegas.php?op1=2&op2=2&sec=3#
