Vivid straw in color, Ferrara’s 2017 Greco di Tufo Terra d'Uva is laced with suggestions of lemon zest, white peach and ripe apricot. Rich and dense, but very nicely delineated, with vibrant, harmonious acidity providing lift on the long, mineral finish, the 2017 has plenty of early appeal. $23.00 (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, November 2018)

Initial impressions were light on palate and heavy on minerality. I thought it was warm/ripe like Greece, but felt like loire sauv Blanc. Turns out it was Italian. First time having this grape.

Paired very well with my chicken milanese style on the NIZZA terrace in NYC.
It even stood up against a very spice spaghetti cacio e pepe.
Nice wine.

We enjoyed this lovely dry white wine. Light golden colour with good minerality and acidity. For a dry white wine it offers many interesting flavors.

Apricot, honeysuckle, minerals. Keeps you coming back for another sip. Still very expressive on day 2.

I became obsessed with Greco di Tufo while living in Napoli last summer. A bottle was almost a nightly occurrence for my work buddies and I while there. I was thrilled to find this bottle a couple of months ago at City Wine Merchant in Buffalo, NY. It isn’t my favorite bottle of Greco, but it is excellent on a warm evening.
