Granée Gavi del Comune di Gavi Cortese
Gavi, Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy
Crisp and fresh. Still one of my favourites. Goes so well with almost anything savory.

Apr 5th, 2015Interesting... but not an easy drink. Kind of pungent aroma. Strong on the almonds, bit of lemon, lots of salinity. Bitter. Smooth. Long aftertaste. Kind of heavy--feels like hangover juice. Definitely an acquired taste. Kind of mellowed a bit though overnight. $29

Light and crisp. Lemon curds, pear, granny smith apple, and white peach. A nice wine at that price.
