Beni di Batasiolo
Bussia Vigneto Bofani Barolo Nebbiolo
In a great place right now. Roses, orange rind, subtle cherry fruit, soft tannins and great acid. Thanks for sharing Erin!

This is so much different than the Brandini single vineyard from La Morra. Much more powerful with still firm tannic structure. Shows more dark fruits, with fig jam, leather, cedar and licorice.
Need more time in the bottle.

Color is with a hint of bricking at the edges. Nose is subtle and dense floral. Elegant and mature on opening with flavor-first fruit (cherry, raspberry, even a little strawberry) along with mild earthy truffle and moss. Lingering and lengthy finish was pleasant and the first point where the tannins started to shine. I don’t have much experience with aging Barolo but this seems to be one that is opening up nicely right now.
