Really impressive night one. Concentrated, mushroomy, vinous, tart, Night two, sadly this is showing brothy and microbial notes.

Initial hit of matchstick reduction that still slightly lingered after in the glass for some time. Toasted butterscotch, caramel apple, ripe kiwi on the nose.

Lemongrass, racy acid, ripe kiwi and toasted asted butterscotch is still there, creme brulee with lemon zest.

👍🔥✔️

Really intriguing reduction, likely mercaptans. I have a feeling this wine will drink quite similarly for many years to come. Savory and dense but great energy.

Les Bruyeres: Triass soils (clay) A more floral style with acacia, herbal thyme notes. Savoury nose. Mealy, savoury, lightly spicy, lacking the finess of the Graviers. Medium bodied, good acid, mealy, wheaty. 92

Nutty pastries on the first nose but the red marl carries shines through. Barely ripe stone fruit in mouth.

Jurancon Chardonnay without oxidation. A revelation. Acidity and funk like wet moss and pecorino rinds

This domain really does produce great wines in the pure sense of the word and the Jura region some of the most individual and purest wines we can imagine but so under-valued. Single vineyard Chardonnay vines from old vines (oldest planted in 1938), almost no sulphitage...A wine with plenty of power, energy and minerality. A nutty finish even if not "eleve sous voile". Would perhaps lack of depth /dimension...vintage?
