Anaperenna Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz Blend
A more restrained Aussie example, which is is much more aligned to our palates. The 20% cab has a calming effect on the Shiraz. Very well done, and we’ll certainly buy more of this vintage.

Decanted for 60 min, and prob needs longer than that as the first glass was a bit unbalanced but that second glass wow.
Amazing aromas. Big blueberry, blackberry, and ecluyptus.
82% shiraz and 18% cabernet sauvignon

Drink it from 2011 to 2022.

When to drink: 2011 to 2022
The 2007 Anaperrena Shiraz (75%)-Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) was sourced from 30- to 120-year-old vines with yields ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 tons of fruit per acre. It spent 15 months in new oak, predominantly French. Purple/black in color, it offers up a splendid nose of pain grille, mineral, scorched earth, blueberry, and black currant. Dense and massive on the palate, it has layers of ripe fruit, excellent balance, and a long, fruit-filled finish. Allow it 3-4 years to round out and drink it from 2011 to 2022. Wine Advocate 95

First hints of brown in the colour.
Mature and at ease. Black cherries and dates, brown spices, sweet sandalwood, toffee and chocolate. Tannines resolved. Drink now and enjoy! 😀👍🏻

Coffee and blackberries, with a hint of cedar. A tad too tannic for me.
