Just released, the Meiomi sparkler is lightly sweet with a touch of sweetness. Think prosecco. Paired with various European cheeses. Good pairing by virtue of the acidity.

Very solid bubbly at the under $20 price. Medium bubbles w a nice mousse. A touch of grassiness and a touch of dry and grassy flavors. I’m not getting the sweetness people have commented on. Nice stuff. I’d go w Roederer over this in a heartbeat at same price but this is intriguing. Also made a great French 75 after a glass by itself.

Prosecco + rose. Yes it does almost have a pinkish hue to it. A touch sweet. Certainly not complex. Exactly what I would have expected from Meiomi.

Meh. Green apple dominates. Wanted to like this more. Better paired with food than on its own. Prefer a creamier sparkling wine profile. Xmas Eve hostess gift. Ok but wouldn’t buy.
