BV grapes were first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon & 6% Petit Verdot. A Wow factor wine!! Outstanding! Deep dense red with complex berry fruit aromas adding in toasty floral spice. On the palate big full flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet plum flavors with licorice and cacao, adding cedar and cacao notes. Soft velvet tannins, young, lingering finish, well integrated and nicely balanced, a joy to drink. Will age a long time. Wait, don’t be tempted

Deep garnet red with ruby core. Tasted blind. Very tight and dark on the nose with dark cocoa, dark spices and soft dark berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Very dark palate as well with black cherries, cassis, black currants, dark cocoa and a little woody. Long and lingering finish. Thought this was a bit older than a 2013 but powerful, needs some time to fully develop. Drink till 2032. (93+)

BV Georges De Latour, private reserve, cabernet sauvignon, 2013. The bouquet is slightly perfume like with violets and lavendar. The initial palate is dark ripe berries and chocolate. The mid palate is full of leather and oak. My fav!!!! The finish is dry and buttery. A great wine. However, DECANT !!!!!
