Lots of bell pepper on the nose. Need some time to breathe. Creamy and light vanilla. Solid.

Had another bottle at a tasting. BV grapes were first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. Deep red with dark berry fruit aromas and floral spice. On the palate blackberry, cherry and plum flavors with licorice and cacao. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with oak and berry notes. The ‘14 improved a bit from my previous notes.

Elegant and lighter bodied than many Napa Cabs.

Lite nose, but a bit too acidic ...which made for a less than expected mouthfeel and finish. I think it would be excellent for marinating a really good steak more so than for drinking. 14.6% ABV. For the price, I think I would pass on this again.

First of the blind reds for this quarter's S&E Wine Club. Theme was Chardonnays for white wine and red wines you can purchase at grocery stores.

Dark ruby red. Quite smoky on the nose with dark red berries. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Layered palate with sweet spices, anise, lots of pepper on the attack, woody, red berries and a touch of black cherries. Medium length finish. Drink till 2023.

Nice delivery for this wine which is rich and right on the money.... but not too subtle.
