Burgundy Napa Valley Red Blend

Winemaker André Tchelistcheff. 38% Napa gamay, 29% pinot noir, 19% mondeuse, 9% petite sirah, 4% early burgundy, 1% cabernet sauvignon. High acid. Didn’t taste old. Wonderful surprise.

I was worried about a non-discript 75 Burg from BV but knew ANDRE made these wines just years before. It wasn't the holy grail 46 Beaumont I tasted at Hueblein grand tasting at the Fairmont SF in around 81 but still has plenty of punch and backbone. Held up extremely well as levels Mid neck and cork sealed with hard mold. Been in my cellar at least 25 years! Great find...but no more out there.

Insanely fresh and persistent. Zero seepage, fun stuff.

The 1969 vintage has shown well with lively acidity and dusty fruit. Good bottles show a medium finish and drink like Pinot noir. Lucky to get to know a different era in Napa. #timetraveling

And through the years still a core of pepper and plums

Old school, Napa Burgundy. 1968 vintage. Somebody better call the the Berzerkers hotline...fake wine nomenclature alert!

From 750, nice but outclassed. Good youth.
