Enjoyed the 2017 - A fair amount of earthy barnyard notes, but also not overwhelming. It had a bit of a prickly texture that quickly blew off a single glass, but persisted in a closed bottle overnight. Not necessarily a bad thing but just interesting to note that this wine was still alive and kicking when I tried it. Dried cherry, some dark fruit leather, silky tannins, and no strong pyrazines (which usually put me off Cab Franc). Amazingly delightful with some braised pork with roasted poblano peppers and cilantro. A really interesting and layered wine that had me going back for seconds. I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Very modern and clean style of Cabernet Franc (no obvious Brettanomyces). Palate is loaded with blackberries, black cherries, blueberries, and hints of caramel and toasted fennel seeds. Slovenian oak adds texture but not a lot of oak tannins.

My first Slovenian wine: ripe fruits balanced with mildly drying tannins and good acidity. Impressed.

Fruit on the nose. Sharp on the tongue. Smooth on the palette.

Fun. Needed a day of air to get interesting and be more than Cab Franc bell pepper.

Drank this to special wine to celebrate another new change. Plum, cherry, earthy, tobacco. Let aerate at least an hour.
