Great value for an 11 year old barbaresco that is only 20 bucks. That said, this is ONLY a food wine. Currant and earth and tobacco give way to a lighter, semi sweet chocolate, finish than I was hoping for. Acid has overtaken tannin. Drink now. Def recommend trying but not buying for long term.

05 is drinking wonderful, best 20 bucks I've ever spent. Do yourself a favor and pick one up at TJs. Looks like rusty water in the glass. Smells like heaven, violets and various floral notes. After sitting in the glass for a bit the tannins kick into high gear. Smell, mid pallet, and finish all top notch. Enjoy!

Extremely soft and silky mouth feel. Low body. Lots of soft and delicate fruit notes wrapped with slate/graphite like flavors that leads to a med tannin and dry finish. Delicate wine that is understated and very tasty, let it breathe over an evening

Daughter asked me to evaluate wines from Trader Joe's. This is bottle #4 of 10 purchased. For $20, a nice wine, recognizable as Nebbiolo, but not really a 04 riserva.
