Jul 28th, 2016Opened an older bottle because I didn't want to read more of Greg Gregory's notes without something at least 20 years old in my glass... Bought this bottle at auction a few years ago. Over the hill but still an intriguing nose with plum compote on the nose and a pleasingly mature palate. Thought it must have been a cool, damp year for Napa; looked it up and sure enough. Despite its years, still some green notes. Smooth tannins, attenuated acidity. From Spring Mountain District.

May 3rd, 2016Thank you Kevin for opening this for us. Basically no fruit left but still awesome. The nose smelled burnt rubber but the wine was great. Impressive for a 25 year old Napa wine.
