Mid to pale crimson in colour. Red cherry, burnt toffee, earth and tar. Juicy on the light to medium weight palate. Oak is noticeable but does not overly intrude. Herbal notes. A great match with home made linguine pasta. Even though only a Rosso has a cellaring capacity of another 5 years although pretty attractive right now. Lovely wine - a superior Rosso. Had another bottle 41 weeks later on 23rd Nov 2022 with consistent notes. Excellent food wine. Drank the 3rd and last on 20th December following the 2007 Valdicava. A very good Rosso.

Lots of earth and good fruit. Drinking better on day 2.

A little riper than classic Baricci, but still enough Montosoli acidity tie it all together.

Very traditional style with brilliant, Montosili acidity.

A very clean, expressive Sangiovese to go with Cinnamon's eggplant Parmesan. This is a very nicely done Rosso, but I prefer the higher toned, more mineral style of Chianti to the north.

A little pruney on the nose, but it opened up, more structured and closed than some of the 2013's, a solid wine.

Nice choice when pairing to a variety of dishes (duck, pork, even fish) bright red fruit, a bit of tomato leaf, lively.

This is banger of a Rosso di Montalcino! Huge nose on opening with dark fruit - primarily dark fruit and wet moss. Palate is bold and surprisingly full bodied with lots of layers - primarily fruit forward with dark cherry, moss, soft spices leaning towards cinnamon - overall more juicy acidity until late when a long smooth tannic finish emerges and lingers pleasurably. Just a lovely experience.
