With air, rich cherry notes. Finish is a little harshly bitter. For $13 I’ll take it

In 1978 John and Harry Mariani, owners of U.S. wine importer Banfi Vintners, established the vineyard estate and winery Castello Banfi in the Brunello region of Tuscany. Deep Ruby with sweet red fruit nose. On the palate, cherry and raspberry with leather notes and dry grainy tannins. Nice acidic balance medium finish, good value.

I can taste the plum.
Taylor: "I just like it cuz it tastes good."

....couldn't tell it was a Chianti on first pallet; and I'm normally pretty good at this, LOL. Not bad, but not something that you would go out of way to find.

It’s a low end Banfi so I wasn’t expecting much and it delivered about that. Rustic and earthy, like an old leather bound book. Doesn’t quite stick or open up, so think of it more like an outdated encyclopedia that isn’t so useful anymore other than looking good on a hipster’s shelf.
