Rosso Di Valtellina Chiavennasca

Had some earthy, dusty, tart Pinot characteristics.

1999 vintage. Really sublime and elegant.

Gorgeous in its middle age. Leather, fruit, flowers and a dose of earth.

Dusty Minerals, clove, nutmeg, wild strawberries and macerated raspberries. Excellent texture, long lasting finish. Really beautiful wine. It’s aged nicely

Blood and iron. Softened tannins. In a good place

Needed more than 30 minutes to open. Initially incredible leather without much fruit but opened and was very interesting and more balanced throughout. Overlap though, a bit light and bland. Paired with Greek salad with lamb, perhaps didn't do it justice as a nebbiolo

Floral, cherries, a little dirt. Elegant, balanced, high acidity. I love this bottle!

I need more of this.

I don't have to feel bad for delighting in the taste of this, as she's 18 years old. Seductive, juicy and intoxicating.

Very cool. Bright and beautiful. Perfect Peking Duck wine.
