Delicious! Much more oak than the regular 2010 Brunello due to the extra year or so of aging, but a gorgeous bouquet of tobacco and mocha, with luscious cherries, Mediterranean herbs, anise, and after a good hour decant, a very smooth finish. Big firm wine with a sturdy tannic structure. Over all, I will give this a 92, but I'm truly excited to try the 2010 Reserva!
Day 2:
Some of the fruit had faded away after decanting nearly 20 hours with a plastic bag over the lid.. but other complexities and even earthiness had taken control. Still quite lovely and aromatic.

Excellent Sangiovese Wine, but let it breathe!! Honestly, I would leave in Decanter overnight - it was way better once it had time to open up!

Smooth, dried dark cherries. Surprisingly advanced, with nice secondary notes.
