Really nice balance of black fruit and earth. Rich mouthfeel and nice ripe character for a Petit Verdot that’s only 13.4% alc. Cool wine.

I have held onto this for a few years and it could easily age another decade or more. Tea rose, blueberry, and hints of anise and baking spice on the nose give way to rich blueberry, olive, white pepper and sage notes on the palette. Tannins are big but not overpowering. This wine is seriously yum!

Tastes of Black Cherry (think in Cherry Garcia ice cream), sultry tobacco, low tannin, easy to drink (finishes like a Pinot Noir)

Very interesting. Yakima Valley fruit. Big aromas of black licorice, leather and earth. Black fruit, licorice and lavender flavors. Long finish, full bodied and powerful, but there is also a finesse to this wine and it does not have the extremely chewy tannins that I was expecting. Petite Verdot is not typically vinified as a single varietal, but this is outstanding. Great effort! Revisited in December 2020. Still terrific.

This was pretty good but I so wanted it to be better. Strong fruit, pleasant finish (but not long enough), hint of forest floor on the nose. Perhaps because I like PV so much I wanted to be more complex but it wasn’t. We had this with BBQ chicken.
