Long, saline, crisp and savory. Lemon zest and orange blossom. Light but with depth and complexity.

Sherried. Brisk and cutting, walnuts, minerals and yeasty notes. Tart fruit. Not entirely unlike vin claire champagne.

Mmmm A salty and savoury complexity marks this little treasure, all wrapped in a balanced casing of stone fruit, herbs and blossom that keeps it far from being anorectic. Similar savoury qualities on the palate with a fresh spine that drives the palate through a concentrated and solid finish. Impressive texture.

Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Expressive yet restrained. Great savory saline quality - a wine to be enjoyed over some time as it unfolds. Excellent with oysters and other seafood.
