Awesome! Takes a little to open up but amazing Barolo! Bold flavor and smooth round finish.

Great random buy for $30. Brick ish colored. Slightly more old school than new world but it toes the line. Initially, the black fruits pop new world style but quickly fade to a more traditional, old world style of black cherry, jacqueminot rose, and tar shine after a 60 min decant.

Light bodied, “pinot Noir-like” red that surprises with its depth and good structure. Faint cherry and smoky aromas. Red cherry, tobacco flavors with huge notes of mushroom and truffles. Brick color. Thanks for opening this one, John Pecallier!

Roses all over the place. A bit of liquirice. Nice pure wine. Pairing perfectly with pappardelle with confit canard!!

Whilst preparing the marinade for Brasato al Barolo (from deer) I took one glass 😉.....
Dark red brown with age coming on the edge. Not that outspoken in the nose. Hints of chocolate and roses. Some red berries. In the mouth a little two sided. Smooth at first but after a joyfull balanced moment the tanins hit you hard. I will open up the Cannubi to pair with the food.

Color is ruby with orange rim, translucent and shiny. Super tannic right off the bat. Spicy nose but blows off quickly. Quick dry finish.

Day 2 I taste nothing but band aid so I walk away. Day 3 -- ever optimistic-- it's a little friendlier, with some spices and cocoa, but I'm looking forward to something else now.
