Barolo Nebbiolo

Super aromatic with red flowers, lavender, thyme, oregano, black tea, leather, sandalwood. Super lean at first, with some time...opened into amazing bottle of barolo, with high acid/tannin/alcohol and lengthy finish..paired with wood fired neopolitan pizza..

Good acidity. Needs more time. Has plenty of time. Revisit at 10.

Certain aged wines have that caramel/honeyed nose to them, this is showing that to be true again.

Salted boysenberry, pomegranate pith, dried cherry, popsicle stick tannins that still hold the fruit with every teeth mark. A little playful acidity peeks out every now and then, and helps allow this wine to become a wonderful weekend’s end ponderer..

This wine seemed closed off on first taste. But 10 minutes later this transformed to a more ethereal wine. Still very light and tight but overall needs time to open up.

2008. Leathery, earthy, tannins still present along with some acidity. Paired well with Pasta and Italian Sausages.

Beautiful colour, bright cherry, juicy with good balance and tight tannins, modest finish
