So much energy and fruit left in this, despite its age. Certainly an amazing QPR at around 18 €.

The nose was extremely bretty yesterday upon opening and hasn't settled completely 24 hours later. There might be some tca taint too... The palate is unbalanced toward acidity and shows some rash tannins. There is a bit of red and black fruits but that's it. Quite disappointed... I opened a Portuguese red to make up for it, to go along a 2 and a half pounds steak before the football game between France and England tonight

Jun 5th, 2022Tawny colour, developing aromas. Got some dried cherries, leather and rosehip. Lovely acidity. Very serious winemaking, a Barbera made with patience and the future in mind. Very good now, may last several years longer.

In great shape. A deep and complex Barbera with a good balance of fruit, tobacco, black licorice, and an overall earthy feel. Long and persistent.
