Truly orange wine! The distinct phenolic character typical to wines with this long on the skins. Good acidity, orange peel, a fair amount of tannic grip. Pairs well with strongly flavored food.

Idiosyncratic orange wine that is now more rust/brown… dizzying nose - almost impossible to encapsulate: dried orange rind, yellow orchard fruit, potpourri, spice but more like herbal bitters, incense like oud, savory, burnt caramel, etc. Just amazing. Fleshy on palate, drinks bigger than one would expect. Structured if a bit lumbering, more austere on palate w/yellow pitted fruit & umami. Great length & persistence, grippy, bitter mixed w/sweet spice like cinnamon. Cerebral stuff

Sep 5th, 2017Probably drank this WAY too early but I was curious: appreciate the style but Gravner & Damijan are the Maestros of orange wine but hats off to the late Radikon for his noble efforts. Phunky oxidized gave off petrol & barnyard but when that blew off and it warmed up yellow fruit oozed out and a sort of strange salinity. Drinks big but the acidity was out of sorts - enjoyed the experience tho
