Very reminiscent of the 2010 non-cru Barbaresco but with even more mid palate concentration. Closed for the first day but revealing some lovely perfume on the second. Tannins are surprisingly well-managed, showing flashes of what will be a very elegant wine in another 5 years. Pound-for-pound this is still one of the best buys in Barbaresco. I’m giving perhaps one extra point for long-term potential.

These just continue to deliver. Definitely powerful and showing ample fruit. Works brilliantly as a pizza wine and has enough texture to bring forward some complexity. Highly enjoyable Barbaresco.
