Disanfrancesco Langhe Nebbiolo
Perfumed and full of cherries. Fresh and well built with a stingy attack and more rounded mature finish.

Nov 13th, 2021It’s a good without being great, but ticks a lot of boxes, just a tricky price point sitting not far behind superior Barolo. Strawberry, raspberry, mint, almond, orange, dried roses, fennel and that va lift. Highish acid and medium plus levels of ropey tannin. Finish is just okay.

Jul 8th, 2018Best Langhe Nebbiolo I've had to date. Very concentrated and perfumed with all the classic Nebbiolo character and elegance. Tannins and acid have just enough grip yet still super drinkable. Tons of florals, sandalwood, sweet tobacco, candied cherries, tar, balsamic. Soulful and delicious.

Jun 3rd, 2023Really liked this. Took a chance because the cost was right up there with the more affordable Barolos but thought that might have made it a good gamble. I’ve had a Barbera by Voerzio that I enjoyed. Classic beautiful Nebbiolo colour, most prominent on the nose for me was wood - cedar I’d say. Tasting strawberry - fruity for sure but with great structure to support it. Having said that, I didn’t find it to be overly aggressive on acid or tannins. I dig!

Jun 13th, 2021In the glass, a medium cherry color with purple accents. The nose is as traditional Nebbiolo as it gets with aromas of dried cherries and slightly faded roses. Those unmistakable leather notes are a highlight here along with the barest hint of greenery.
This is a rather intense medium bodied Langhe. Upon opening it’s very expressive and the fruit is in the forefront but after some time that naturally austere quality that I adore shows itself. Wonderful balance for this level of bottle, too. More leather and cherries on the palate along with tar and fresh herbs. Really impressive stuff.

Wow! Still full of energy after 7 years, classic rose/cherry/tar profile in evidence and lovely acidity. A great find from the cellar
