Not your grandmothers Chianti. A big framed, fruit bursting lioness of a bottle, & imagine a long life. Blackberries & casis. We decanted but could use more of that air. Still, delicious, & can tame most big foods, tannic backbone there as well. Dressner Importer

Mushroom, soy, birch bark, roast game bird, roasted plum. The substantial VA is balsamic, savory and perfectly integrated. Pure class, as is everything I’ve ever tasted from this underrated estate.

The 2017 Chianti Classico is supple, racy and inviting, with striking textural depth and phenomenal balance. Succulent dark cherry fruit gives the 2017 much of its immediacy and appeal. Silky, plush and exceptionally harmonious, the 2017 captures all of the natural radiance of the year. Sweet floral and spice notes add lift to this sophisticated, beautifully polished Chianti Classico from Montesecondo. Quite simply, this is a phenomenal wine for the vintage.
