Very pleasant surprise. I’ve had ‘10-12 I believe, but this was on another level. Elegant and textured, silky smooth. Good length and complexity, with the bright Sangiovese notes peaking through on the close. The nose, rather typical of a brawny multiplicano d’Abruzzo, doesn’t do the palate justice.

Apr 17th, 2020Medium–full bodied. Dark ruby color, bouquet of raisins and licorice. Leather, currants, damp soil, ripe plums, but with a good, lingering acidity. Probably should have let it breathe more given the vintage. From Seventh Avenue Liquors.
