Jul 4th, 2019Winery is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in the valley which lies south of the town of Panzano and is called the "Conca d’Oro" (the golden shell) because of its amphitheatre shape. Aromas of dried fruits and oak notes from 24 months of aging. On the palate sweet cherry flavors with tobacco and floral tones. Fine dusty tannins, well balanced, long finish ending with earthy mineral character. Pricy but one of the best I’ve tasted.

Apr 24th, 2018Massive dark intense wine of pure Sangiovese from old vines. This is an infant and should cellar well for many years. Drink again in 2013.

Oct 7th, 2017Strong fruit forward nose. Rich, silky, and tannic. Red ripe cherries. Could definitely age for a few more years to tone it down a bit. Overall, quite excellent!
