Very good Chianti with elegant start and nice bite in the finish. Well-made, but not better than other Chiantis for half the price.

2011v. This sangiovese/cab blend is under those new "gran selezione" classifications of Chianti. Pours a deep ruby. Intense and fruity nose of red cherry, currant, cedar, and a hint of mocha or spice. Lighter bodied than it looks, but the palette is awash with a mouth full of tannins with moderate grip. Very dry finish. Great accompaniment while young to my birthday ribeye steak, but could easily age for years to integrate tannins and develop the flavors. 15% ABV.

Good nose with nuances of red fruits, cherries. Palate balanced, with sufficient acid, smooth tannins, underlying plum, light meaty with good finish. 12.02.16

Big crisp scent. Rubarb, cherry, herbs, tobaco.
Very nice and powerful tannins, long wundeful aftertaste, herbs ,chocolate, good acidity, vanilla.
