Takes a bit to open up, but well worth the wait. Elegant and soft textured. Pretty feminine- rose petals, button mushroom, sour cherry. Will definitely benefit another 5 years bottle age.

1 person found it helpfulAug 20th, 2015The nose was gorgeous, both wonderfully floral and intense with dark red and blue fruits, as notes of mint, herbs de Provence, tobacco and black olive added depth. On the palate, silky textures were quickly offset by brisk acidity and young fine tannin, yet the Serraboella's underlying tart red berry fruit, dried orange and savory spice persisted throughout the experience. It finished firm, youthfully so, yet long with saturating dark fruits. This is a Barbaresco to follow over the next 15 - 20 years. Beautiful.
