A rather uncommon bottle: sparkling Nebbiolo. Traditional method. Single vintage. Had to nerd out and give it a shot. My primary takeaway: maybe there is a reason you don’t make sparkling wine from Nebbiolo?
It lacks a lot of complexity and depth and comes across a bit boring and watered down. Some lemon, citrus notes, bread crust, but not a ton else. Bubble streams are mediocre.
Segretevigne literally means “Secret Vines.”

Take the other ratings with a grain of salt. Maybe they ate something spicy or weren’t in the mood. This is full of subtle yet complex flavor, perfect bubbles and great acidity. Green apple, yeast, lemon. Almost clear, slight yellow. Delicious.
It also remarkably holds up after a few days, as long as you vacuum seal the bottle. The bubbles get softer, but the flavor develops. I bought 4 more bottles to share with friends.

Nerd night at Vinology with our wine club friends.
.
Pretty boring, honestly. Watery, not much character, but refreshing nonetheless.
