Needs time open. It’s all there but currently discombobulated. Will be back. This needs age. It’s all there but never came around. Check back in 5 years.

Blackberry flower. Blackberry powder. So pure and dark. Brooding but detailed. Morey-like. Palate is juicy with such insane fruit. Velvety, ample and sweet with wonderful powdery tannins and terrific structure and freshness. Classic.

Such a nice nose. Really light touch but pretty and detailed. So old school. Floral. Bright. High toned. Chestnut. Killer aromas. Better than last bottle. Palate is juicy, nimble and has terrific cherry fruit that lasts and lasts. Very fresh. Velvety tannins. A bit of an angular quality but needs air but also thats 2014 sometimes. Very tense vintage. I like it. Like 2008 in Burgundy. Terrific showing. Good concentration and depth. Nice sweet cherry fruit.

Wow. What a nose. An all star nose. Heaven. Tar, leather, smoke, mid season cherries and so layered. Sick nose. Sous bois. Unreal bruised cherries. Mint. Menthol. So so so high toned and expansive. Cough drop. Just sick. A 9.5 nose. Easy. Palate is incredible. Concentrated. Sappy and so pure. Velvety tannins, and sweet earthy fruit. Barely sweet though. Deep, super deep. Amazing midpalate with a tiny bit of opulence and such sap and purity. Such sick cherries. The fruit is so taught and deep. Complex, structured and so old school. Long finish and refined tannins cake to the mouth. Long. Pure. Fresh. Sweet deep fruit. This is astonishing. Incredible density and yet light on its feet. This is one of the best Bramaterra’s I’ve ever had. What a finish. 9.4 for now.

Lifted and very aromatic nose of herbs, dead leaves and freshly raked leaves, spice, tar, mulberry, mid season cherry, so lifted. Really compelling aromas. Better than Badina 10 and Mazzuchelli 10. Layered nose. Just sick. The tar and mint mixing is so good. Palate is juicy and deep with wonderful freshness and purity. Very balanced and suave but substantial tannins. So clean and pure. Lovely mid season dusty red cherry fruit. Terrific inner mouth aromas and a fresh, complex structured palate. Big tannins on the finish suggest further aging is warranted and it does “youthen up” when it gets air. Really balanced for such a big wine, even some finesse. 9.3 for now but let’s see what air does to it.

Terrific after some air. More round. Tannins much more velvety. Sweet fruit. So fresh and energetic. Terrific. So serious. Years to go.

Really fantastic. Drinking wonderfully at 13 years with a 30-60 min decant. Wonderful nose - aromas really leap from the glass. Soft and deep and great acid with good tannins still. Quite delicious - really such a nice expression of nebbiolo.

Don’t be fooled by the label, looking like a closeout from the Olive Garden. This is serious shit, a gourmand wine full of character & finesse. Tar on the nose, palate is high acid with tremendous freshness. Angular at first, but with air the sweet cherry fruit moves to the forefront. Floral & foliage sing backup. Miles to go. Incredible value from Fass Selections @Lyle Fass

Glorious nose, Sous bois up there wazoo. Dead leaves. Wet earth. Underbrush. Mulch, spice, cherries, so many cherries. Like ethereal cherries. Iodine, tar, mashed roses, lifted aromas that penetrate the nasal cavity. Divine. Palate is high acid and very lifted with sappy early mid season cherry fruit. Not as dense as 2010 and maybe more angular but superb anyway as the balance is there. A great wine in a tough vintage. The acid is so good and the wine is balanced. Really took what the vintage gave it.

Young and primary but opened for science and for the simple reason we had one on hand and wanted nebbiolo with grilled sausages & risotto. Starting to develop- camphor, high acid, chewy tannin, good fruit. A certain elegance that will only come to the fore as the tannins integrate. Fabulous 🙏🏼 @Lyle Fass

Nose is very welcoming. Hints of tobacco. Roasted plum. Plum skin.

Palate is sweet plum. Cherry. Delicious. Really sweet fruit. Chocolate. Good acidic balance

Very sexy texture. Really caresses the palate. Clings in a gentle but persistent way. Almost sensual.
