This is mostly Chiavennasca, the local name for Nebbiolo. Cherry, black pepper. Balanced tannins and great acidity. Fermented in a mix of concrete and stainless steel, then aged for 9 months before an additional 3 months in bottle.

Initial nose of Christmas: a faint cinnamon and potpourri. Fades into a more traditional cherry and herbal nose. Palate of cherry and red fruit with a hint of mint and other herbs. Medium, smooth tannins. Fairly light.
