Apollo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Dark, powerful wine. Blackberry & cracked pepper with chalky tannins just played perfectly with grillled Tri tip. This showed some great earthy notes as it opened up. Thoroughly enjoyed this wine. Paired up with what should be a country rock classic, The Fantastic Expedition Of Dillard & Clark. Ex-Byrd Gene Clark had a better run after he left the band & this is one of his highlights.

Great everyday pizza wine.

Pretty good. Went well with cheesy ravioli in tomato sauce.

Black cherry, strongly tannic, really screams out for tomato sauce and cheese. Perfect for pasta with raw tomato/capers/roasted cauliflower.

Chewy red fruit, bits of leather and earth. It’s real wine, not plonk, but neither joyful nor needing attention. Probably best paired with a vibrant conversation.

Pop to drink, goes with lamb chop, salad and beef slice cold cut. Should go well with pizza and tomato paste.

Polished, refined; but lacks that rustic quality I love in this varietal. Wouldn't have even pegged it for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
