Tightly wound. Notes of leather and spice box meld with maraschino cherries and hints of bell peppers. Tannins are prominent, but add weight to what is an excellent showing. Needs more cellar time...

This still needs time. High high acidity. But at about hour 2 it starts to open. A traditional house but this vintage is large.

One of the highlights of the very difficult 2014 vintage.

Nice starter wine for my birthday dinner/evening. Just a classic BdM all around. At first that funk that blew off after about an hour. Then earth, dark berry, leather. This righteous wine was a perfect complement to my wife’s bolognese and my Filetto Al Gorgonzola that was cooked to perfection at our fav little Italian spot, La Rustica. Lisini delivers yet again.

Very rustic expression. Dried blood, gravel, smoky minerals, with intense floral notes and superb acidity. Slow, graceful maturation so far and should be in it for the long haul.

One of the best bottles of Brunello I've ever tasted. A convincing argument for the superiority of the 2001 vintage in Montalcino.

Classic and clean. Pressed flowers, cherry. All about that finish.
