Bula Montsant Red Blend

Dark, fruity, and earthy. Well put together for a sub-$15 wine. A bit sweet for my taste though

Leather, black currant, pepper. Not terribly full-bodied. I wish it were jammier. Nothing to write home about.

A blend of 40% Mazuelo, 40% Grenache & 20% Syrah, dark Ruby red with black fruit aromas and smoky oak. On the palate ripe blackberry and plum flavors with earthy notes and fine tannins. Medium finish ending with notes of coffee and minerality.

Is this a huge wine? Sure. It's winter so I need that! Black plum, blackberry, blueberry jam with some dark earth and coffee notes. But well balanced with soft tannins and medium acid to keep it lively. For $10 I challenge you to find a wine this complex.

The only wine uploaded today that I drank today. This is a fruit bomb, full of dark fruit, spice, and vanilla. Typical characteristics of a Montstant (in this case a blend of Mazuelo, Grenacha, and Syrah), but reminds me of an overdone Aussie Shiraz.

Great balance and fruit. Highly recommend at the price.

Now is the time to take advantage of Spain's economy. It is rare that you can obtain a wine of this class for such a small price.
