Loved it with our pasta with a simple red sauce! Smooth to drink right out of the bottle.

Dark and deep ruby red. Slight dirty cellar on the nose, dust and a little savory. Some light undertones of stinky cheese and vegetal notes. As it opened up it added notes of dark fruits. Palate started with a little black pepper, dark berry jam, plums and definitely has a savory twist to it. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Medium finish as well. Great QPR/value wine and a perfect wine to introduce someone to the Rutherford AVA without breaking any bank. Drink till 2019.

This is actually a serious wine - inky dark - a steakhouse wine - will see what air does

1/27/18 comp with older cab. Nose of dark fruits and some heat. Good balance on palate and medium finish though somewhat lacking in complexity. Mystery wine and decent value? Yes $14 JR.

Beautiful dark Ruby color. Well balanced tannins and fruit, gravel, dark, tart cherries, and red fruits. Medium finish. Great price for the taste.

Great initial impression just smelling. Paired great with Brazilian steak.

Much better then I had expected in this price range. Garagiste. I'm led to believe that because it comes from Rutherford that makes it better. It's certainly better than the Avalon that you get at total wine. For sure.

I got some tar& eucalyptus in nose. A bit of smoke. It has layers and depth and complexity which surprised me at first. But I do like that dark Rutherford fruit. The time in French oak really mellows this wine. Very enjoyable. Buy it if you find it.
