Les Beaux Monts Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Fantastic purity, silly texture and exotic flavors...ripe but fresh. Sexy Pinot.

Yum! A little funk but good, solid fruit.

2011 vintage. Still holding up great!.

Great spot now.

Pop and pour. Benchmarking exercise. On the nose: vanilla, ripe strawberry cream, spice (incl black pepper and white pepper)...nice intensity. On the palate: fantastic acidity, and wild strawberry, but marred a bit by bitter wood, lovely black pepper and spice notes, and serious, finely grained tannin on the finish. Very good, if modern in style.

Such great value for a Burg... this has many many years left if not decade or two.

Very nice wine with lots of fruit and subtle tannins.

Decent burgundy. Pale red with fruit on the nose. Earthy mushroom on the finishing palate. Finely balanced but lacks a long finish

Sunflower seeds, some oil, smoke and olives on the nose. Very smooth, calm tannins, medium acidity, very earthy, raisins, blackberry, black curants. Shorter finish. Great, light and wonderful.
