strawberry yogurt in the nose, slightly dirty, but hot finish, very simplistic and a bit unbalanced with the alcohol

Pretty neat bottle for $20... Not for everyone, funky, showing fruit, but great acidity

Just ok... Don't like the bottle shape

I am trying a Pinot from Germany tonight. Thought it would be a good change of pace. This is an August Kessler 2010 Pinot Noir from Pfalz. On the nose I get strawberry, raspberry, vanilla and hints of oak. Now where the nose really gets me going the palate really loses me. This a bit on the thin side. There is a nice acidity and minerality on the front end. The front end gives you tart strawberries, sour cherries then gets lost in the mid palate with nothing on the backend. I was really hoping but it just didn't produce.

Ruby/garnet color, smells of raspberry, barnyard, aged cheese, mushroom, cured meat, and damp forest floor, good balanced acidity with barely any tannin, tastes of pomegranate, cranberry, dried longan fruit, and walnut, nice smooth finish, works well with sausages and pork dishes.

Really good Pinot. Not so fruity - just light

なんか薄味

Sour cherry on the nose with hints of spice. Very light and juicy on the palate with bright acidity. Lots of developed tannins. Earthy and lots of minerality with a vibrant line of cherry. Long, earthy finish.

Decent but forgettable

Looks like blood and tastes like heaven.
