Delicate, yet expressive. Deep black cherry, fresh herbs, smoke, and violets. Palate is velvety lush, fruit forward and well balanced with wet potting soil, great acid, and tremendous length.

On a recent trip to CA I visited AuBonClimat. Comprised of only the best cuvees, from 6 vineyards, even has some RRV grapes, aged for 20 months. Ruby with dark edges and red fruit and herb spice aromas. On the palate sweet cherry flavors with fine soft tannins, earthy spice and a bit of oak. Lingering finish ending with mineral tones, tasting well now with room to run. Tasting Sample.

Still a very good Pinot after a few years of cellaring. Very smooth after some air, softer taste than many other Pinot Noirs from California. Had this same bottle at their tasting room 3 years ago!
